P & M Technologies is a Canadian company formed in 1996. We have been involved in
remote-sensing research projects since the
mid-1990's. Our Research Director, Dr. Gina Mohammed,
has been an active participant in several European Space Agency (ESA) projects on the subject since 2003.
We were the Prime Contractor / Project Manager for the FLEX/Sentinel 3 Tandem Mission
Photosynthesis (PS) Study,
and we continue on today in this role with the follow-up FLEX Bridge (FB) Study.
About the FLEX Photosynthesis Study...
This study targetted the linkage between solar-induced chlorophyll fluorescence and photosynthesis
in terrestrial vegetation. A dedicated photosynthesis model based on state-of-the-art existing modules was developed
and implemented. We also developed and tested a prototype algorithm that can derive photosynthesis from FLEX tandem
mission measurements. The Photosynthesis Study was part of the package of parallel study activities needed for
assessment of the FLEX candidate mission.
